I've been writing for 20 years (and I'm 38)

J'écris depuis 20 ans (et j'en ai 38)

If there's one thing that continues to amaze me, a year - soon to be two - after embarking on the wonderful journey of self-publishing, it's this simple reality: I've been writing for twenty years. (Twenty years and six months, to be exact.)

After high school, during the summer before I started my first year of medical school (yes, really), I discovered forum RPGs. That's where my first characters came to life: initially women, then gradually men, who slowly shaped my writing style. As you can imagine, I now feel very comfortable writing from a male perspective, as approximately 75% of the characters I've created are men.

Alongside the world of forum RPGs, I also wrote fanfiction — based on Harry Potter, but also in the WWE universe (wrestling, yes really!). My writing journey has been punctuated by numerous breaks: a busy personal life, some disappointments related to emotional investment in certain forums, and many other reasons. But despite everything, I always continued to develop my characters. Each one corresponds to a stage of my life and has their own distinct personality. (There are about forty of us in my head, does that resonate with you?)

Today, I'm eager to introduce you to brand new characters, but also to bring back some older ones as secondary characters. Because while Sarah and Gabriel, from the novel "What If It Was Right Before My Eyes," were created twenty years ago, others will soon accompany the protagonists of my upcoming novels. =)
