Today's revelation about my upcoming novel "The Ties That Bind Us"!
I was so eager to tell you about it that I rewrote this post three times to avoid revealing everything at once... 😅
Today, we're focusing on the names of my two main characters, which are essentially the heart of the story.
As you know, the novel will blend Scottish and Indian cultures, two worlds that deeply resonate with me.
👑 Euphemia Aerdean
My heroine. A rare name steeped in history, once borne by a Queen Consort of Scotland.
To those close to her, she becomes Effie, but beware: only her inner circle has that privilege... Others stick to her elegant "Euphemia."
🌞 Surya Gowri
My hero, of Indian origin but born in Scotland. His name means "Sun" in Sanskrit.
He has a sister named Neela ("Moon"), and it's thanks to her that his path crosses Effie's.
✨ So there are the first little confidences...
